The Pastures sports hall and multi-purpose room can be booked through the Council’s outsourced booking system Playfinder
Please note that Save Our Pastures is not responsible for bookings or the booking system and that if there are any issues please contact Playfinder and the council contact listed below.
The sports hall is available from 9.00am-10.00pm on weekdays and at weekends. Costs are £30/hr from 9.00am-4.00pm weekdays and £45/hr at all other times.
The multi-purpose room is available from 9.00am-10.00pm on weekdays and at weekends. Costs are £30/hr from 9.00am-4.00pm weekdays and £43/hr at all other. However, there is currently a regular booking during weekdays during the day and so is only available for hire from 16:30 until 10.00pm on weekdays and all day during weekends.
The system isn’t very intuitive so these are the steps to take to make a booking:
On the Playfinder site enter ‘Leytonstone’ in the ‘Find Venue‘ box
A list of local venues will appear – click on ‘Book Online‘ for Pastures Youth and Sports Centre
From here you can book the sports hall for the listed sports or click on ‘Space Hire‘ above the photo to book the sports hall for different activities from those listed, or to book the multi purpose room.
To book the multi purpose room or make an enquiry click on the appropriate button on the top right – you will then see a photo of the room.
From here you will need to submit an enquiry or request to book the room using the short online form at bottom left. The ‘optional message‘ box at the bottom should be used to add your organisation, what you want to use the space for, how many people expected and any other relevant information.
The Council prefers block bookings but individual bookings are also possible.
If you wish to book more than 21 days in advance you may need to contact Pastures@walthamforest.gov.uk
There is no need to book the kitchen area unless you intend to use the cooking facilities.
The system is not perfect yet so there may be a few teething problems, however the Pastures Action Group and local Councillors are working with the booking team to resolve any issues that occur.
